Every
child has an Individualized Learning Plan (ILP) that is collaboratively
created with the child, his or her family members, teachers, and
where appropriate, administrators. ILPs detail a students
academic, as well as social, emotional, and physical strengths
and challenges and detail strategies to improve a students
ability to succeed in school. Teachers refer to the ILPs on a
consistent basis throughout the school year to assess a students
progress toward his or her goals. The ILP is also used as a tool
to discuss progress with parents.
