Lighthouse is committed to serving a diverse population of students and preparing them for college and the career of their choice. The demographics of our student population are as follows:

• 96% are students of color (68% Latino, 18% African American, 9% Asian)
• 80% come from low-income families
• 67% are English Language Learners
• 10% receive special education services

All of our students commit to and support their achievement of our mission through their work as follows:

• Attending school regularly, as seen in our 96% attendance rate
• Attending an extended day program for all students in the elementary grades, and an extended day and year program for students who need extra support
• Mastering grade level standards and life-long learning behaviors, as demonstrated in their portfolios and interim assessments
• Reflecting on their learning with their families and teachers on a trienniel basis
• Demonstrating mastery of standards and learning behaviors to determine passage to the next loop level (passage pccurs at grades K, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12)
